Teej is celebrated on third day of Shravan month’s Shukal Paksh. It is celebrated to get husband and good luck. It comes on Shravan month and so it is called as Hariyali Teej. It is believed that goddess Parvati worship lord Shiva on this day and she got married with him.
Importance of Hariyali Teej
Trees, rivers and the lord of water which is Varun worship on this day. Mainly it is celebrated to get desire and good husband. Girls who don’t get marry they can worship on this day. Women who already got married they should worship lord Shiva and goddess Parvati.
Girls should do fast on this day. You must have to do make up. You have to use mehandi and Bengals in your make up. You should worship lord Shiva and goddess Parvati in the evening. You must have to light ghee’s lamp. You can chant Shiva-Parvati’s mantra if possible. After worshiping you have to donate make up to any married woman. You also have to take mercy from her. However, do not wear black or white clothes on this day. Green and red color is very auspicious which you can use on this day.
If you’re facing problem in your marital life then you should offer yellow cloth to lord Shiva and red cloth to goddess Parvati. You have to pray them for better coordination. Tie up both the clothes and keep it with you. It will definitely gives you benefit.
If husband-wife stays away from each other then you can offer flower, Belpatra, abil, gulal to lord Shiva. Offer Sindoor to goddess Parvati in silver bowl. After that you have to pray them so you can live together. You have to use Sindoor regularly.
